    Runs were at a minimum as the East Central Community College Warriors opened 2019 MACJC league play with a doubleheader split against the Holmes Bulldogs in games played Saturday, March 16, at Charlie Donald Field in Goodman.

    Rain continues to play havoc on the home baseball schedule for East Central Community College, but the Warriors found Stanley James Baseball Park on the campus of Coastal Alabama-South to their liking in picking up their first sweep of the season Tuesday, March 12, in Bay Minette, Ala.
  • Warriors Split High-Scoring Doubleheader at EMCC

    The East Central Community College baseball team scored 32 runs and pounded out 29 hits in just 14 innings against East Mississippi, but still came home with a doubleheader split with the Lions in games played Friday, March 8, at Gerald Poole Field on the EMCC campus in Scooba.

    The East Central Community College baseball team traveled to Booneville Wednesday, March 6, and split a couple of non-league games against Northeast Mississippi Community College at Harold T. White Field at Booneville City Park.

  • Knight's Pitching Helps Warriors Beat No. 2 Parkland

    The East Central Community College baseball team went a week without seeing any action due to the weather, and when they did take the field it was in a couple of nine-inning affairs against the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the nation. The Warriors defeated No. 2 Parkland College (Ill.) 3-2, after falling earlier in the day to No. 1 ranked LSU-Eunice 5-3.
  • ECCC Baseball Splits Pair of Weekend Games in Alabama

    After having rain force the cancellation of its own Rush Invitational Baseball Tournament, the East Central Community College Warriors traveled to south Alabama to pick up a pair of Saturday games, losing a 6-0 decision to Wallace Community College-Dothan and holding on for an 8-7 win over Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.

    The East Central Community College baseball team fell to No. 16 ranked Southeastern Iowa and perennial MACJC power Jones College in action Saturday, Feb. 16, at Community Bank Park on the Jones campus in Ellisville.

    The East Central Community College Warriors traveled south to Chalmette, La., to open the 2019 baseball season Wednesday, Feb. 13, and came home to Decatur with a doubleheader split with the NJCAA Division I Nunez Community College Pelicans.

    Ron Perkins of Louisville, a former Diamond Warrior and captain of the 1998 state championship team, will be the featured speaker at the annual East Central Community College Baseball First Pitch Dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9. The event will be held in the Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on the Decatur campus.

    The ECCC Baseball MVP Showcase scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19, has been moved to Monday, Jan. 21, because of the potential for rain this weekend! Position players and pitchers will all check-in at 10 a.m. at Clark-Gay Baseball Complex on the campus in Decatur.
