East Central Community College sophomore kicking specialist Robens Beauplan is the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the Warriors 13-10 overtime win over Copiah-Lincoln Oct. 29.
It is the third time in his two-year career that Beauplan has won the honor. He also was a National Junior College Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week in fall 2019.
A product of Riverdale High School in Lehigh Acres, Fla., Beauplan hit a game-winning 27-yard field goal in overtime to help East Central upset Co-Lin on the road. He also made a 32-yard attempt in the first half. In the game, Beauplan punted six times for a 43-yard average including a long of 68 yards.
On the season, he is averaging 43 yards per punt with 14 inside the 20. He has connected on four of six field goals and is a perfect seven-for-seven in extra points.
Beauplan was a NJCAA first-team All-America, All-Region 23, and All-State selection as a freshman.
