Meridian, MS-The East Central Community College (ECCC) men's golf team performed well at the 2025 Lou Hart Invitational, finishing third at Northwood Country Club in Meridian, Mississippi.

The Warriors scored +29 over two rounds, trailing only Meridian Community College (+18) and champion Mississippi Gulf Coast (+1). This tournament, held on March 24–25, highlighted ECCC's talent.

Sophomore Will Thompson led the team with a 7th-place finish, shooting an even-par 71 in the final round for a total of +4. He made crucial birdies on holes 4, 5, and 18. Teammate Paul Swanepoel secured 9th place with a total of +5, thanks to his steady Day 2 round of 74, which featured birdies on holes 14 and 18.

Freshman Ashley Head (+8) and sophomore Hayes Nance (+16) contributed to the team score, with Jamie Stace (+14) completing the lineup.

ECCC's third-place finish marks progress as they head into the MACCC Championship, scheduled for April 7–8 at Shiloh Ridge Golf Club in Corinth, Mississippi.
