East Central women’s soccer opens season with pair of shutouts

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — East Central Community College opened the 2025 women's soccer season with a 5-0 win over Pasco-Hernando State on Aug. 21 before following with a 1-0 victory against Pellissippi State on Aug. 22 in Fulton, Miss.

The Warriors rolled past Pasco-Hernando in the opener, scoring all five goals in the first half. Raiyleigh Perry recorded a hat trick, while Mary Michael Druey and Shelby Stewart each added goals. Assists came from Ella Jai Elliott, Sara Kate Blaine and Meg Miller.

The next day in Fulton, East Central leaned on its defense. Goalkeeper Haley Graham made 11 saves to earn the shutout, while Perry provided the difference with a 65th-minute strike off an assist from Chloe Hart.

East Central improved to 2-0 and has yet to concede a goal, outscoring its opponents 6-0 in the opening weekend.
