DECATUR, Miss. — East Central Community College has named Brian Alumbaugh as the next head coach of the Lady Warrior soccer program, effective July 1, 2026.
Alumbaugh joins ECCC after most recently coaching within the ECNL Regional League with Nationals Soccer Club in Rochester, Mich. He also brings successful collegiate coaching experience, having previously served as head men's soccer coach at St. Clair County Community College, where he built the program from its inception and guided the Skippers to conference, regional, and district championships while earning the program's first NJCAA National Tournament appearance. In just the program's second season, St. Clair finished No. 11 in the final NJCAA Division II national rankings.
"Coach Alumbaugh brings proven experience as both a collegiate player and successful NJCAA head coach, making him an outstanding addition to East Central Community College," said ECCC Director of Athletics Brooks Warren. "I am confident in his ability to lead our women's soccer program while upholding the standards and values of our athletic department and institution. His commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field, combined with his vision for program growth, will help elevate East Central Women's Soccer throughout our five-county district, across Mississippi, and on the national stage. Most importantly, I believe Coach Alumbaugh embodies who we are at East Central—'We Are. East Central!'"
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Alumbaugh is the founder of Elite 100 College ID Camps, an organization that hosts college showcase events and helps student-athletes connect with collegiate opportunities. His coaching background also includes positions with Rochester Soccer Club, Muskingum University, and Leknes Football Club in Norway. As a player, Alumbaugh competed at the NCAA Division I level for Long Island University and Michigan State University before completing his collegiate career at Robert Morris University.
Alumbaugh earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Michigan State University, a graduate certificate in organizational leadership from Robert Morris University, and a Master of Arts in adult education from Muskingum University.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to join East Central," Alumbaugh said. "I'm excited to compete in one of the most competitive conferences in the country. I'm looking forward to the challenge and excited to get started."
