DECATUR, Miss. — Ivanna De Gregorio capped a dominant season at East Central Community College by earning Player of the Year honors — and doing so without dropping a single match in singles play.
The Warriors' top-line standout went undefeated throughout the year, a streak that head coach Turner attributes to something beyond just physical skill.
"Her mindset is what kept her undefeated in singles compared to everyone else she faced," Turner said.
De Gregorio herself said the milestone came as a genuine surprise.
"It means a lot to me," she said. "I put in a lot of hard work throughout the entire year and got the results I wanted. I never thought I could finish undefeated."
The standard was set early. When assistant coach Ian joined the program in January, De Gregorio's dominance was already on display.
"When I got here, she was already being dominant on the court," Ian said.
Beyond her unbeaten singles record, De Gregorio also bolstered the Warriors' doubles lineup — a well-rounded contribution that helped define an exceptional season from start to finish.
