| Title: | Wide Receivers & Tight Ends |
Coach Chancie Tidwell joined the East Central Community College football staff in the summer of 2025 and serves as the wide receivers and tight ends coach. A Jackson, Mississippi, native, Tidwell starred at Clinton High School after transferring, earning recognition as the Best Tight End in 2014–2015, Most Improved Player in 2015–2016, and MHSAA All-South State First Team All-District in 2015–2016. He went on to play two seasons at Jones County Junior College, where he was named All-Region MACJC Second Team in 2017–2018, before finishing his career at Delta State University, where he helped the Statesmen capture the 2022 Gulf South Conference championship.
Tidwell’s coaching career began in 2023 at SUNY Morrisville (Division III), where he coached running backs and gained valuable experience leading his own position group. In 2024, he moved to the University of Findlay (Division II), again coaching running backs before advancing to East Central. He credits those early stops with preparing him for success at higher levels of the game.
Passionate about player development, Tidwell enjoys using his playing and coaching experiences to teach the run game, pass game, and the tight end position at a deeper level. He emphasizes building not only strong athletes but also better men—future fathers and leaders within their communities.
