Warriors Storm Back to Defeat East Mississippi

DECATUR, Miss. — After trailing by two goals in the first half, East Central men's soccer rallied for a thrilling 3–2 victory over East Mississippi on Tuesday night at Bailey Stadium.

The Lions jumped ahead early with goals in the 15th and 38th minutes, but the Warriors came alive after halftime. Camilo Lopez Sanchez sparked the comeback with an unassisted goal in the 60th minute, followed by a 65th-minute equalizer from Juan Jose Solano off an assist from Daniel Ducculi. Just five minutes later, Lopez Sanchez struck again, burying the go-ahead goal to complete the rally.

Goalkeeper Sebastian Montes Montoya recorded three saves in the win, holding East Mississippi scoreless in the second half. Lopez Sanchez led the attack with two goals, while Ducculi and Solano each contributed key offensive plays in the comeback effort.

The Warriors improved to 7–5 overall and 5–3 in conference play. Their next matchup is at Hinds Community College in Raymond on October 21 at 7:00 p.m.
